Somatic Experiencing
Trauma Resolution and Nervous System Regulation

Somatic Experiencing creates resiliency in the nervous system by allowing stuck fight, flight, and freeze responses to sequence through and discharge. It is not only powerful for trauma resolution, but is also useful for everyday nervous system maintenance and support. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, trained through Somatic Experiencing International.

The trauma tracking and embodiment education provided to me through SE are imperative to the pelvic work I provide. Whether you are coming to address birth trauma, a history of sexual trauma, or to connect with your creativity and sexuality, I find that accessing into the nervous system in this way allows for profound movement.

I also offer stand-alone SE sessions and currently work with people recovering from emotional or physical trauma from pregnancy, birth, miscarriage or abortions, falls or high impact trauma, pre- and peri-natal trauma, and building resiliency in nervous system.

The Somatic Experiencing® method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, resulting from his multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application. The SE approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma.
