Embodied Pelvic Care

Hands-on care for reconnecting with your root; recovering from birth, gynecological, and sexual trauma; and finding your inner power.

Embodied Pelvic Care

Embodied Pelvic Care is an integrative modality that brings together the physical, emotional, and energetic layers of your body so that you can truly process through what your tissues are holding.

If you’re coming to me postpartum seeking support for prolapse, we will deconstruct your birth story and work through boundary breaches that might have occurred. If you show up in my office wanting to address vaginal numbness and anorgasmia, we’re going to talk about your religious upbringing. If you’re experiencing vaginismus and wanting tools other than the dilators your PT keeps pushing you to use, we’ll get serious about learning whether your body feels like it’s ability to consent is respected.

You can’t tend to the physical body without tending to the experiences it holds. And our pelvises hold a lot.

Yes, we will work with your myofascial system. Yes, we will work with your skeleton. But these pieces are only part of the puzzle of pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, numbness, and anorgasmia.

I’m trained by some of the most well-known pelvic care teachers in North America such as Kimberly Ann Johnson, Lynn Schulte, Tami Lynn Kent, and Martin Beaudoin.

What if you could heal without surgery?

  • “Prairie, I wanted to say thank you, you are immensely gifted at your art, this magical work you offer. Your presence, your pace, your holding are exquisite. I’m amazed at this combination of pelvic care and Somatic Experiencing. I’ve had SO much bodywork in my life and I would say these last two sessions felt full, rich, profound, on all levels: touch, tissue, metaphor, sensation. Thank you.”

  • “Post our hands-in (exquisite!!!!) pelvic work I have been delightfully noticing various shifts in me and my beautiful body. I did a great big hike and the hip pain I normally feels after walking even a short while didn't exist. My bleed this month was significantly less crampy. And every time I see my pussy I greet her spontaneously with a loving, appreciative ‘hello, you!’ Thank you, thank you. The experience was so beautiful, so attuned, the space you held so grounded and reverent for the work and for me.”

  • “Dear Prairie, the work you did with me yesterday was outstanding. Thank you so very much. I am much less pain.”

  • “After our session my period was the best it’s been in years! Thank you so much!”

  • “Yesterday was the best day I have had in my body in months. MONTHS. Goddess Damn! I love this work and appreciate you IMMENSELY.”

Who do I serve?

Many of my clients are women in the birth-continuum, navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and mothering. However, I work with and am delighted to serve cis-men, and non-binary and trans-gender individuals who have chronic pelvic pain, lack of sensation, or scar tissue resulting from surgery or injury.

That work that I offer brings together a unique set of skills and trainings to assist people in finding comfort in their bodies and power in their lives. I work with folks from all walks of life, in all relational dynamics, and in all bodies.

You deserve to be treated with the deepest love and care.

Every part of you.
